LANGTANG GANJA LA PASS TREK
Ganja la pass trek is a least visited, challenging and unique wilderness trekking trail in Langtang region. Ganja la pass trekking requires technical skill and climbing equipment. This trek offers an opportunity to explore Tibetan style, Tamang Villages, panoramic Himalayan views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Yala peak, Naya kanga, Gaurishanker etc.
Highest point of Ganja La trek is Ganja La Pass (5122m). This pass to the north, offers panoramic view of Langtang Lirung and the snow peaks in Tibet side including Shisha Pangma (8,013m). This trek takes you all the way through the lush valleys, evergreen forests, waterfalls and bright green hills with panoramic views mountains on its backdrop.
This trekking trail also takes you through the beautiful Langtang and Helambu valley. These places are mostly inhibited by Tamangs and Helamo ethnic group. Here you get to know their culture, tradition, unique dressing style, ancient trading style and the hardship of rural life.
People in Langtang Helambu trekking trail follow the Buddhist religion so you will find many old Buddhist monasteries in the villages One of the best attraction of the Langtang region is it’s so close to Kathmandu and it’s really wild as any Tibetan highlands. Langtang region is the best trekking site for every trekkers who loves to explore the beauty of the Himalayas, the natural beauties. Langtang region is really famous for its Gosaikunda lakes.
While we will be trekking the company of the green rhododendron and bamboo forest, the majestic waterfalls, and snow-capped Himalayas make the trek one of the most diverse treks near Kathmandu. Most of the Nepalese people are living in the highlands of the Langtang region. Being the descendant of the Tibetan origin, they still look like Tibetans.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Kathmandu airport, meet and greeted by office representative, transfer to hotel.
Day 2
Trekking preparation day, sightseeing in and around Kathmandu. Spa retreat at Ananda Natural Therapy Center. Overnight at Hotel
Day 3
After breakfast drive to Syabru besi (1462m) by private vehicle or local bus.Its 7 hours drive from Kathmandu. Overnight at Tea house
Day 4
After breakfast trek to Lama Hotel ( 2500m), its 5 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House
Day 5
After breakfast trek to Langtang village (3430m) which is 6-7 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House
Day 6
After breakfast trek to Kyanjin Gompa ( 3870m) which is 4 hours walk from Langtang village. Overnight at Tea House
Day 7
Exploration day at Kyanjin Gompa
Day 8
After breakfast trek to Ngegang (4000m) , its 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp.
Day 9
After breakfast trek to Keldang via Ganjala Pass (5200m), its 6-7 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp.
Day 10
After breakfast trek to Dukpu (4080m), its 6-7 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp.
Day 11
After breakfast trek to Tarkeghyang (2560m) which is 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tea house
Day 12
After breakfast trek to Shermathang (2621m) which is 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tea house
Day 13
After breakfast trek to Melamchi Bazaar (846m), its 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tea house
Day 14
Drive from Melamchi Bazaar to Kathmandu by private vehicle or local bus. Overnight at Tea house
Day 15
Free day
Free for shopping, revitalization at Ananda Natural Therapy Center or other activities. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 16
Departure
Day 3
After breakfast drive from Kathmandu to Shyabrubesi (1460 m) by private jeep or local bus. Its 7-8 hours drive from Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel
