Lower Dolpo trek is the remote, rugged, natural and unspoiled area that lies in the mid-western region of Nepal in the Shey Phoksundo national park behind the Dhaulagiri massif, towards the Tibetan plateau.

Lower Dolpo trek is a hidden treasure and one of the beaten trekking trails in Midwestern region of Nepal. One of the best place’s for the trekking for the mid-western region. Being the remote region lower Dolpo trek offers you the unique and life defining experience of venturing in to the remote Himalayas Where you can make the real adventure.

The main point of this area is Shey Phoksundo Lake which is deepest lake in the world and totally free of aqua life only crystal clear water. The Lower Dolpo trek region lies within a restricted area and a special permit is needed to trek here. The best time to trek here is towards the end of the monsoon season September to November. Lower Dolpo trek offers an outstanding trekking experience in the western region of Nepal.

Lots of trekkers choose the lower Dolpo Trekking for their trekking destination. Especially the foreigners are more attracted to the trekking sites so many tourist travel to Nepal to explore the beauty and the best trekking experience. This is also one of the few areas where you can find the pre-Buddhist Bon Po Religion is still practiced.

While we are trekking we get the muse of the yak caravans that maintain the traditional salt trade with Tibet and we will find the two high passes- Numa La and Baga La-and reflect on life admits the tranquil water of Phoksundo Lake. Beginning trekking through nice village, remote alpine area and finally come to beautiful Shey-Phoksundo Lake.

Day 1

:  Arrival at Kathmandu airport, meet and greeted by office representative, transfer to hotel.

Day 2

Trekking preparation day, sightseeing in and around Kathmandu. Spa retreat at Ananda Natural Therapy Center. Overnight at Hotel

Day 3

In the morning flight, fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (260m.). Transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel

Day 4

In the morning flight , fly from Nepalgunj to Juphal which is 45m. Flight. Then trek from Juphal (2475m) to Dunai (2140m) which is 2-3 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 5

After breakfast trek from Dunai to Tarakot(2537m.) which takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 6

After breakfast trek from Tarakot to Laina Odar(3370m) which is about 6-7 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 7

After breakfast trek from Laina Odar to Nawarpani(3475m.) which takes about 4-5 hours. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 8

After breakfast trek from Nawarpani to Dho Tarap(3944m.) it takes about 7-8 hours. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 9

Rest at Dho Tarap and explore in around the area

Day 10

After breakfast trek from Dho Tarap to Numa La Base Camp (4440m.) which takes about 6-7 hours. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 11

After breakfast trek from Numa Phedi to Pelung Thang (4465m.) via Numa La Pass(5190m), it takes about 6-7hours. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 12

After breakfast trek from Pelung Thang (4465m.) to Dajok Thang (4080m) via Baga La Pass (5070m) , it takes about 5-6 hours.  Overnight at Tented camp

Day 13

After breakfast trek from Dajok Thang  to Ringmo ( 3733m.), it takes about 3-4 hours. Overnight at Tented Camp

Day 14

Rest at Ringmo Gaon and explore Phoksundo lake.

Day 15

After breakfast trek from Ringmo to Shyanta (2520m), it takes about 5-6 hours. Overnight at Tented Camp

Day 16

After breakfast trek to Juphal which takea bout 2-3 hours. Overnight at Tented camp

Day 17

Fly from Juphal to Kathmandu via Nepaljung . Overnight at hotel

Day 18

Free day
Free for shopping , revitalization at Ananda Natural Therapy Center or other activities. Overnight at Tea House.
