NAR PHU TILICHO TREK
Nar Phu Tilicho Trek is a wild and unexplored exotic Himalayan villages located in north of Annapurna region which is restricted area and newly opened for the trekkers only since 2003. Tilicho Lake (5300m) is the highest lake in the world situated north of the beautiful Manang valley.
The Nar Phu valley and Tilicho Lake Trek is an ideal for those trekkers who want to discover the hidden valley of Nar Phu along the Maskkanto La (5099m), Kangla Pass (5200m), Tilicho Pass (5230m) one of the beaten path crossing through challenging high passes along with beautiful Tilicho Lake.
This Nar Phu Tilicho trek is combination of high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow canyons, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, Gompas, beautiful lake and unique Himalayan cultures.
This trek offer superb Himalayan views of Mt. Manaslu 8163m, Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Mt. Annapurna I 8091m, Lamjung Himal, Tilicho peak and other several snowcapped mountains of Annapurna region.The trail initially follows the well-known Annapurna Circuit then to the remote villages of Nar and Phu, as well as crossing the Kang La Pass.
The route then rejoins the Annapurna Circuit, near Manang, from where we follow off the beaten route that leads to Tilicho Lake and the Meso Kanto Pass (5089m), which links the Manang and Kali Gandaki Valleys.
The crossing of this pass offers a more challenging and exciting alternative to the popular Thorong pass on the Annapurna Circuit. After the crossing, we trek to Jomsom from where we fly back to Pokhara.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Kathmandu airport, greeted by office representative and transfer to hotel. After rest spa retreat (Massage) at Ananda Natural Therapy Center.
Day 2
Trek preparation and half day sightseeing. Overnight at hotel
Day 3
After breakfast drive from Kathmandu to Bhulbhule (840 m), it takes about 7 -8 hours to reach to Bhulbule. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 4
After breakfast trek to Chamje (1430m), its 7-8 hours walk from Bhulbule. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 5
After breakfast trek to Dharapani (1860m) which is 6-7 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 6
After breakfast trek to Koto (2600m) , its 5- 6 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 7
After breakfast trek to Dharmasala (3230m) which is 5- 6 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp
Day 8
After breakfast trek to Kyang (3740m), its 5- 6 hours walk from Dharmasala. Overnight at Tented camp
Day 9
After breakfast trek to Phu Gaon (3600m), its 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp
Day 10
After breakfast trek to Nar Gaon (4150m) which is 7-8 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp
Day 11
After breakfast trek to Kang La Phedi (4530m) which is 4-5 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp
Day 12
After breakfast trek to Ngwal (3680m) via Kang La Pass (5322m) which is 6-7 hours walk. Overnight at Tented camp
Day 13
After breakfast trek to Kangsar (4200m) which is 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House
Day 14
After breakfast trek to Tilicho lake (4919m) which is 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House
Day 15
After breakfast trek to Manang (4950m) which is 5-6 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House
Day 16
Acclimatization at Manang (3540m.)
Day 17
After breakfast trek to Yak Kharka (4090m.) which is 4-5 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 18
Early in the morning trek from Phedi crossing Thorong-La (5416m.) to Muktinath (3800m) which is 9-10 hours. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 19
After breakfast trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2670m) through Kagbeni, its 6-7 hours walk. Overnight at Tea House.
Day 20
Fly from Jomsom – Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel
Day 21
Fly or drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu .Overnight at Tea house.
Day 22
Free day
Free for shopping , revitalization at Ananda Natural Therapy Center or other activities. In the evening farewell dinner at Authentic Nepalese Restaurant with cultural show.
