RUPINA LA PASS TREK
Rupina La pass (4610m) is the wilderness and challenging trekking destination in lower Manaslu region officially opened to tourist in 1991. This pass is not so high pass but discovered as the most dangerous pass and unbeaten trail of the Manaslu region . This trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating circumnavigating Mt. Manaslu (8163m), Peak 29 (7871m), Himal Chuli (7893m), Boudha Himal (6672m), Ganesh Himal ranges and Langtang Himal ranges.The trekking route covers many villages mainly inhabited by Gurungs and gives us a chance to be a part of amazing culture and tradition. Rupina la trek route is very rich in green rhododendron and pine forest, exceptionally altering geographical terrain and offers us with excellent view of Himalayan scenery, rivers and waterfalls, beautiful landscapes, lush valleys and wide range of animals and birds.
Rupina-la Pass Trekking starts from Gorkha durbar , Crosses the Rupina-La 4520m, the trek route descend through the BudhiGandaki River further down to Soti Khola, Arughat . Since the Rupina La pas trek roams around the area of Manaslu conversation area which is a restricted area certain permission and formalities is required by the Government of Nepal to join this trek route.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at Kathmandu airport, greeted by office representative and transfer to hotel.
Day 2
Trek preparation and half day sightseeing. Overnight at hotel
Day 3
Drive from Kathmandu to Gorkha durbar by private vehicle or local bus . Overnight at Tea House
Day 4
Trek from Gorkha durbar to Khanchowk (930m) which is 6-7 hrs. trek . Overnight at basic lodge
Day 5
Trek from Khanchowk to Tallo Thotnari (1685m), it is about 6-7 hrs . Overnight at camp
Day 6
Trek from Thulo Thotnari to Sambai Kharka (2915m) which is about 5-6 hrs. Overnight at camp
Day 7
Trek from Sambai Kharka to Jongong (1440m) which is 7-8 hrs. trek . Overnight at camp
Day 8
Trek from Jongong to Pokhari (3440m) which is about 5-6 hrs. trek. Overnight at camp
Day 9
Trek from Pokhari to Rupina La Base Camp, which is about 5-6 hrs trek . Overnight at camp
Day 10
Early in the morning trek from Rupinala Base Camp to Base camp via. Rupina La Pass (4160m) which is about 7- 8 hrs trek. Overnight at camp
Day 11
Trek from Base Camp to Zokbatang which is about 6-7 hrs. trek . Overnight at camp
Day 12
Trek from Zokbatang to Nyak 2340m which is about 6- 7 hrs walk . Overnight at homestay
Day 13
Trek from Nyak to Jagat (1350m) which takes about 4 -5 hrs. Overnight at Tea house
Day 14
Trek from Jagat to Machhakhola (890m) which takes about 5 hrs . Overnight at Tea house
Day 15
Trek from Machhakhola to Soti Khola (530m) which takes about 4 hrs. Overnight at Tea House
Day 16
Trek from Soti Khola to Arughat which takes about 4 hrs. Overnight at Tea house
Day 17
Drive from Arughat – Kathmandu by private jeep or local bus
Day 18
Free day
Free for shopping or other activities. In the evening farewell dinner at Authentic Nepalese Restaurant with cultural show.
Day 19
